Sherbet shakes

We tried out the new ice cream maker today.  We were hoping for lime sherbet, but made the most of our results and had shakes instead!

While it would have been nice to get 'perfect' results the first time, it was a great lesson in 'making lemons from lemonade.'  It's so easy to get frustrated when things don't go exactly as planned, isn't it?  But it's so much nicer - and more fun, to boot! - to just make up a Plan B.  Instead of bowls and spoons, we enjoyed our creation with some brightly-colored cups and bendy straws!

I'll also get to share another lesson with my kids - "When at first you don't succeed..."  You better believe we will have fun with the "Try, try again..." part!
